Common Causes and Fixes for Proxy Connection Failures #
When using Jibao Proxy, you may occasionally encounter connection failures. Below are the most common causes and how to resolve them quickly.
1. Check Your Account Balance #
Insufficient account balance is the most frequent reason for connection failures. Dynamic proxies are billed by traffic — when your balance reaches zero, no new proxy connections can be generated.
Fix: Log in to the Jibao Proxy Dashboard, check your balance, and top up if needed.
2. Verify the Proxy Format #
A proxy entry typically consists of four parts:
- Proxy IP address (e.g. 123.45.67.89)
- Port (e.g. 1080)
- Username
- Password
Make sure the proxy string you copy is complete with no extra spaces or missing characters. Jibao Proxy supports two formats:
IP:Port:Username:PasswordUsername:Password@IP:Port
3. Check Your Local Network and Firewall #
- Firewall / Security software — Make sure outbound connections on the proxy port are not blocked.
- Corporate / School network — Some networks restrict non-standard ports.
- VPN conflict — Running a VPN at the same time can interfere with the proxy. Try disabling the VPN and reconnecting.
4. Check Whether Your Static IP Has Expired #
Static proxy IPs (static residential or datacenter) have a validity period. Once expired, the IP is automatically reclaimed and can no longer be used.
Fix: Go to “Purchase History” in your dashboard to check the expiry date and renew or purchase a new IP in time.
5. Contact Support #
If none of the above resolves the issue, reach out to our technical support team via Telegram Support.
Please provide: your account username, usage environment, proxy type (dynamic/static, residential/datacenter), protocol (HTTP/SOCKS5), and a screenshot of the error.
